These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Treeschool Education Ltd. By using the platform you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Treeschool's platform, website, or services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Services.
These Terms apply to all users of the Services, including parents, guardians, teachers, and any other visitors or registered account holders.
2. Eligibility
To register for an account you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. Parents and guardians may register accounts on behalf of children under 18. Teachers applying to teach on the platform must meet the qualification requirements set out during the onboarding process.
By creating an account you represent and warrant that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
3. Accounts & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@treeschool.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including accounts created with false information or used in a manner inconsistent with our community standards.
4. Description of Services
Treeschool provides an online educational platform that connects students from the African diaspora with qualified tutors and teachers. Our Services include live tutoring sessions, pre-recorded lessons, course materials, assessments, and progress tracking tools.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time with reasonable notice where possible. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of Services.
5. Payments & Subscriptions
Certain features of the Services require payment of fees. All fees are stated in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. Fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on the plan you select.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
6. Teacher-Specific Terms
Teachers accepted onto the platform agree to deliver sessions of the agreed duration and quality, maintain professional conduct at all times, and not solicit students to move outside the platform for private arrangements.
Payouts are processed monthly for sessions completed in the previous calendar month. Treeschool retains a platform fee from each transaction, the current rate of which is disclosed during the teacher onboarding process. We reserve the right to adjust the platform fee with 60 days' notice.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the platform — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software — is the property of Treeschool Education Ltd or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Teachers retain ownership of original course materials they create and upload. By uploading materials, you grant Treeschool a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute those materials to enrolled students.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services to: • Harass, abuse, or harm another person • Upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or violates third-party rights • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform • Impersonate any person or entity
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your personal data.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Treeschool does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Treeschool shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, we will notify you by email or via an in-platform notification. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
